Beginning Fencing

Our next Beginning Fencing class starts April 8, 2025, at 7 pm. This will be the last Beginning Fencing class this fencing season.

This fun and exciting class is open to fencers ages 10 and up; groups are welcome, but class size is limited.  You MUST preregister and prepay; no at-the-door registration, no late registrations, no exceptions.   Register early, this class often fills up quickly. Registration closes on April 1, 2025, at 6 pm.

The fee for the 4-week class, held on Tuesdays, from 7 to 8 pm, is $95.

Come to this fun and informative class and learn:

• A brief history of Fencing
• Fencing weapons – foil, saber and epee and general rules for the specific weapons
• Strip etiquette
• Basics techniques:  en garde, advance, retreat, attack, parry, and riposte
• Beginning Bouting

This class requires active participation — you will be moving.  You don’t need to bring anything except a bottle of water, a pair of tennis shoes and wear long pants.  We provide all the protective gear and weapons.  Come on, join us and find out what it’s like to stab your friends!

Graduation from Beginning Fencing is a prerequisite to membership and Fencing I.
